Alhambra Design Review Board Is Set

Share

The Alhambra City Council has established a Design Review Board to examine and approve building and sign designs for all commercial and industrial projects in the city.

The five-member board will replace a Downtown Design Committee, which had authority to review sign and building designs of structures in the downtown area.

The new board will also be responsible for drafting design guidelines for commercial and industrial buildings. The board is scheduled to present those new guidelines to the Planning Commission on June 19.

The City Council, which is looking for applicants with backgrounds in architecture, design and other development-related fields, will select board members at its March 27 meeting.

Residents interested in serving on the review board should contact City Clerk Frances Moore at (818) 570-5090 for applications as soon as possible.
