THE CRUELTY QUESTION
Since animal trainers feel justified in using “physical corrections” because animals can’t be reasoned with, I presume they (and the public) would tolerate these same “physical corrections” for small children in movies for the same reason. There is a double standard in our society, based on species-ism. Until we learn to give all species the same degree of respect and protection we now reserve for humans only, we are not only guilty of exploitation, but of immorality as well.
