Iran, Iraq Agree to Resume Peace Talks

UNITED NATIONS —
The foreign ministers of Iran and Iraq met face to face Friday and agreed to hold talks next month in New York in an effort to revive their deadlocked peace negotiations.
U.N. Secretary General Javier Perez de Cuellar mediated the meeting between Iraq’s Tarik Aziz and Iran’s Ali Akbar Velayati.
