Landscape Class Fund Benefits From Annual Awards Program
The Landscape Architecture Foundation’s Class Fund college scholarship program--whose endowment is more than $250,000--was a major beneficiary of the organization’s annual design awards gala held at the Irvine Hilton Hotel & Towers.
The Grand Award winner was the Wilshire Courtyard, an office complex developed by J.H. Snyder and California Federal, with landscape design by Fong & Associates and landscape construction by Valley Crest Landscape.
Ralph Hudson of the Orange County Parks and Recreation Department was honored with the 1988 Public Open Space Award, a new honor. Rob Sawyer, a principal in Land Concern Ltd., was the recipient of the LAF/Class Fund Professional of the Year, as well as the organization’s Life Member designation.
