The California Ballet’s Feb. 21 concert at Civic Theatre will feature soloists from the Bolshoi and Kiev ballets performing classics from their companies’ repertories. But San Diego-based choreographer Betzi Roe will contribute a modern ballet for the concert that draws on more contemporary Soviet influences. Roe’s “Dry Roses” will have visual support from projections of Russian women by Ilya Mashkov and will be danced to a Russian jazz work from the 1930s.
