The Harlem Globetrotters received a rather inhospitable greeting from somebody in Portland while on a swing to the Pacific Northwest.
On Friday night, while the Globetrotters were delighting a large crowd of basketball fans at Memorial Coliseum in Portland, thieves made off with the group’s motor home.
The ransacked vehicle was recovered Saturday morning in north Portland, police said. Investigators said many personal items belonging to members of the team were destroyed by the thieves.
