Actor James Caan, 48, was reported to be in pain but recuperating Monday at St. John’s Medical Center, after a motorcycle accident Sunday in which he fractured four ribs, suffered facial abrasions and several lacerations. “They’ve kept him in (the hospital) for observation,” said his representative, Paul Block. “But we expect him out early this week. . . . Jimmy’s going to be fine, just fine.” The actor lost control when he swerved to miss a car. He was not wearing a helmet, police said.
