Four Israeli Arab students moved out of their campus apartment under court order after an unsuccessful fight against a 22-year Tel Aviv University policy they charge is racist. The four, all Muslim women, were forced to move because the university said it needed space for overseas students, and university policy forbids overseas students from living with Israeli Arabs. While male and female students cannot live together, a spokesman said, the school allows “people of all denominations” to be mixed except when overseas students are involved.
