West Hollywood : Civic Center Contracts
The City Council has awarded contracts for design, construction and management of the new civic center. Gruen Associates was chosen from among 300 applicants for the design contract, said Mark Winogrand, director of city development. CRS Sirenne of Los Angeles was awarded the construction contract, and John S. Given was named the project manager.
The two companies and Given have been working with the city on construction of the new center for more than three months, Winogrand said.
The $23-million center, which will be in West Hollywood Park, will include City Hall, a park, a library and a fire station. Construction is expected to begin in May of next year.
