STATE : Bomb Scare Clears S.F. City Hall

SAN FRANCISCO —
Hundreds of office workers were evacuated from City Hall today after authorities found an unattended briefcase they thought might contain a bomb.
The municipal workers were allowed to return about 45 minutes later, however, when a police bomb squad blew the briefcase open and discovered that it contained a harmless dictation machine.
