Jailed actor Todd Bridges, in an interview to be broadcast tonight on “Entertainment Tonight,” says that since he was incarcerated, he has started to “grow up and become a man. . . . Growing up as a child star, you never grow up. You’re always a kid, a spoiled brat who always gets your way. Well, in here, you don’t have your way. You have to be a man.” And as for how working in Hollywood contributed to his troubled situation: “I fault Hollywood as far as mental capacity. They sure know how to rise you up and then just rip you apart mentally. Just pow, it’s gone. They won’t talk to you. They don’t even know you.” Bridges, a star of “Diff’rent Strokes,” was arrested Feb. 2 for attempted murder and a separate armed robbery charge. He was interviewed Tuesday by “Entertainment Tonight” at the L.A. County Jail facility in downtown Los Angeles. The program airs at 7 tonight on Channel 4.
