Colombia’s left-wing Patriotic Union withdrew from peace talks promoted by the government after the killing of Jose Antequera, one of its leaders, party sources said. Patriotic Union’s national committee took the action because the government failed to protect its leaders from assassination, a member of the committee said. The decision came a day after gunmen shot and killed Antequera, 37.
