Former Ram to Join Titan Staff
Preston Dennard, a former Ram wide receiver, is expected to join the Cal State Fullerton staff as an assistant football coach, sources said Monday.
Dennard, 33, played for the Rams from 1978-83, and was a starter on the team that lost to Pittsburgh in the Super Bowl in 1980. In 1981, his best season, he caught 49 passes for 821 yards and four touchdowns.
Dennard, who once published a book of poetry, also played one season with the Buffalo Bills and one season with the Green Bay Packers.
