One student drowned and two others were missing after two university club boats, training for rowing races, flooded and tipped over in strong winds and high waves on a river in western Japan, police said. The two boats were carrying 18 crew members, and 15 were rescued or swam to shore, said an official of the Osaka police. One body was found two hours after the accident in the Yodo River, about 400 feet wide and up to 20 feet deep in that section, the official said.
