Universal has set Mel Gibson and Goldie Hawn as the stars of “Bird on a Wire,” an action comedy that will get under way April 15 in Vancouver. David Carradine is also in the film, playing Gibson’s one-time friend turned antagonist. . . . Also at Universal, Bill Cosby and Sidney Poitier are teaming for the fourth time. Cosby will star in “Ghost Dad,” a comedy about a single parent who encounters the supernatural, to be directed by Poitier.
