Newcomer “A Fish Called Wanda” (No. 3) looks as if it’s about to flush “Die Hard” out of the top spot of Billboard’s rental chart. This hugely popular comedy seems more likely to be the next No. 1 rental than two of the other hot newcomers--”Married to the Mob” (No. 6) and “Midnight Run” (No. 7). Despite recent headlines about the prisoner who’s the subject of “The Thin Blue Line,” it continues to linger at the bottom of the Top 40--No. 36 this week. Currently, music videos are dominating the Top 5 of the sales chart.

*”Big Business,” the mismatched-twins comedy starring Bette Midler and Lily Tomlin, did big business at the box-office--$39.6 million--and, as expected, is doing big business on home video too. After two weeks on the rental chart, it barged up to No. 9 and appears to be headed for the Top 5.
