FHP Inc., a health maintenance organization based in Fountain Valley, has announced four finalists in its competition for an outdoor sculpture at corporate headquarters.

Michael Davis of San Pedro, Robert Ellison of Penngrove in Northern California, Doug Moran of Santa Ana and Bret Price of Orange were each awarded $500 for submitting working drawings and scale models of their proposed pieces. Sixty-five sculptors entered the competition, open to any artist who worked or lived in Orange County in 1968-88.

The winning artist--to be chosen in June--will receive $35,000 for the design, fabrication and installation of the work. FHP will kick in another $15,000 for transportation, insurance and other project costs.
