A teen-ager who escaped from a minimum-security jail near Saugus was being sought Friday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Jonathan Porter, 18, escaped from the Peter J. Pitchess Honor Rancho between 7 and 10 p.m. Thursday, deputies said.
Deputies did not know how Porter, who was wearing a prison uniform, escaped from the jail facility on the Old Road near the Antelope Valley Freeway.
Porter was arrested March 8 by Los Angeles police on a conspiracy warrant and was to be jailed until April 20, deputies said.
Other details were not available.
