Perhaps Kahn Should Not Be Too Surprised at Lasorda’s Reaction

Roger Kahn modestly understates his contribution to Al Campanis’ downfall on the “Nightline” show.

Having immediately followed Campanis’ inane comments with a sarcastic remark directed at a disoriented Campanis, Kahn did far more than simply “fail to protect” Campanis from his “baseball demise.”

If Tommy Lasorda is “snarling” at Kahn, it’s because Kahn kicked a man when he was down.
