BROWN
Concerning “Brown,” by Edmund G. Brown Jr. and John Balzar (Jan. 29): Brown’s detractors can no longer afford to turn him a deaf ear. Volunteerism, which Brown called for more than a decade ago, is the rallying cry for civil action in the 1990s. Even George Bush is pushing it.
At a time when vision and inspiration have left us and we’re once again looking for leadership, maybe a few “moonbeams” wouldn’t be so bad.
