‘Undesirables’ and Soup Kitchen Closing
Regarding the closing of the soup kitchen in Costa Mesa:
I travel by the Rea Center on the average of five times a week. I don’t know what all the fuss is about. If I hadn’t read about it in The Times, I wouldn’t have known of a soup kitchen at all. I have never seen any undesirables that the neighbors have complained about.
If you want your civil rights violated, just come to Costa Mesa or Newport Beach looking grubby. I have seen time and time again such a person being searched and then offered a ride to the edge of the city limits.
Sometimes I am downright ashamed that I live in this area.
