Shiro Sasaki has been named vice president in charge of Ricoh Corp.’s new western region, headquartered in Irvine. Sasaki is responsible for revenue, profit and market share objectives in the 11-state region and for sales and service. A 17-year veteran of Ricoh, Sasaki most recently was vice president of the OEM Copier and Facsimile division in the U.S. He has also worked as a sales manager in Tokyo and Holland and as director of marketing and planning with Ricoh U.K. in England. The western region is one of five regional sales operations centers created in a recent restructuring of the company’s Office Products Business, which markets copiers, facsimile machines and other office products in the United States.
