IN BRIEF : Runners Test Negative for Drugs
From Times wire services
LONDON —
All of the drug tests from the second World Indoor Track and Field Championships came back negative, the sport’s ruling body said today.
The International Amateur Athletic Federation said no drugs were found in any of the 31 urine samples taken from medal winners and other athletes at the championships, held in Budapest, Hungary, March 3-5.
“Everything was clean,” Paul Fraser, the federation’s spokesman, said.
The tests were conducted in London because no IAAF-accredited laboratory was available in Budapest.
