East Germans Fish Woman Out of River

EAST BERLIN —
Troops on an East German border patrol boat Friday pulled a West German woman out of a river dividing East from West Berlin, East Germany’s official news agency ADN reported.
ADN said the West Berlin woman was on the East German side of the Spree River when she was pulled from the water. She was carrying no personal documents and East German officials were investigating her identity and the circumstances.
