B of A to Handle Japanese Credit Card: Bank of America is negotiating with Japan’s largest bank card company for the exclusive right to honor the JCB credit card at more than 100,000 outlets in the United States, bank officials announced. Bank of America says it can perform all sales and servicing of JCB International Co. card accounts through its existing credit card programs and will even bill merchants for JCB use through Bank of America statements. Under the deal, no other bank can honor the JCB card in the United States.
