Nelson Issues Shares: As part of a lawsuit settlement, Nelson Holdings International said it has issued 2 million shares, or nearly 6% of its common stock outstanding, to Columbia Pictures Entertainment, from which it purchased Embassy Home Entertainment in October, 1986. Nelson also issued 2 million warrants to Columbia, which would boost Columbia’s stake to 11% on a fully diluted basis. The settlement also cancels and discharges an $8-million note Nelson owed Columbia, the company said. Under a new distribution agreement, six of Nelson’s films will be distributed in North America by a Columbia affiliate.
