The president and chief operating officer of National Intergroup Inc., Laurence J. Farley, has been fired after just three months on the job, the company said. The conglomerate, which has interests in drug and oil distribution and metals, said its board accepted Farley’s resignation because of “irreconcilable differences concerning senior management responsibilities.” The board named James S. Pasman Jr., 58, of San Francisco, as Farley’s successor. Pasman is former vice chairman of Aluminum Corp. of America and former chairman and chief executive of KaiserTech Ltd. and Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corp.
