From Times staff and wire service reports

The wing of a Delta Air Lines jet scraped the tail of an American Airlines plane on a taxiway at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, causing slight damage to both at the end of California flights.

Both airlines today described the incident as minor. There were no injuries. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board were notified.

Airlines spokesmen said American Flight 472 had just arrived from Sacramento on Sunday night and was taxiing toward the terminal ahead of Delta Flight 90, which had just arrived from Los Angeles. Both jets were cleared to use taxiway 25, but the FAA said when the American jet stopped, the Delta jetliner continued straight, and its right wing clipped a piece of trim on the tail of the American jet.
