Girl Dies in 16-Floor Leap

CHICAGO —
A teen-age girl jumped to her death Monday morning from the upper levels of the spectacular atrium at the State of Illinois building, a state government spokesman said. The girl, who wore a Mohawk hairstyle and was dressed in a punk rock-style outfit, jumped from the 16th floor of the building, which has a glass-walled atrium, exposed elevator shafts and a marble floor, spokesman Don Schlosser said.
