Lost Purse

There are good honest people in Los Angeles, contrary to what some may say. I was recently visiting my daughter in the Hollywood Hills area and laid my purse on the top of her car before leaving her home. When I thought about it and stopped the car, the purse had slipped off. We backtracked, but it couldn’t be found.

I chalked it up to a stupid mistake, cancelled my credit cards, etc. When we returned to our home in Holt, Mo., I received a postcard from the Burbank Police Department stating that my purse was found on the freeway at Hollywood Boulevard and Ventura, and had been turned in with all contents intact. The Police Department was very prompt in mailing it back to me.

I wish to express my thanks for the time and effort to that unidentified person for stopping on the freeway and then taking my purse to the Burbank Police Department.

I’ve always loved Los Angeles and this one more reason to admire your city and people.
