NATION : Budget Talks Cancel Bush Trip

WASHINGTON —
President Bush canceled a weekend trip to Kennebunkport, Me., in part to stay in town as delicate budget talks near completion, his spokesman said today.
“The President is concerned about the budget process,” Press Secretary Marlin Fitzwater said. “April 15 is the deadline that the Congress has set and the one that everyone is shooting for to get a budget resolution and an agreement before that.”
