A group of UCLA law students awarded actors James Woods (“True Believers”) and Jimmy Smits (“L.A. Law”) with plaques Wednesday night honoring them for “showing the legal profession in a positive light.” Both actors received the awards from the UCLA Entertainment Law Society for playing idealistic attorneys, determined to right wrongs and ensure justice for disadvantaged clients. “This is a special kudo that even Oscar can’t match,” said Woods.
