Marriott Corp.: The Bethesda, Md.-based hospitality company reported first-quarter profit of $46 million, up 2% over a year ago. Sales totaled $1.8 billion, up 10%. The results reflected growth in all three major lines of business--lodging, contract services and restaurants.
