Blyleven Named Angel of the Week

Bert Blyleven, who beat the Oakland Athletics, 7-1, on a four-hitter last Tuesday, is The Times’ Orange County edition Angel of the Week. En route to his first victory as an Angel, Blyleven took a two-hit shutout into the ninth inning. He struck out five.

The Times will donate $200 in Blyleven’s name to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Orange County.
