Racism on Campuses

I appreciated your editorial about racism on college campuses. You brought up the important point that course work is barely integrated besides a few ethnic studies courses.

I agree that students should be required to take an ethnic studies course, but that should only be the beginning. Ethnic studies should not be separate from standard U.S. history courses, rather, they should be taught as an integral part of them.

A number of diverse ethnicities have always been a part of our country, and their role in our country’s history should not systematically overlooked and disregarded as it now is.
