Adolph Coors Co.: The brewing company announced a first-quarter net loss of $4.8 million, contrasted with net income of $3.7 million a year ago. Revenue, however, rose 12.9% to $324 million. Golden, Colo.-based Coors blamed the earnings decline on lower beer shipments and higher manufacturing costs.
