WASHINGTON —
The Senate has confirmed President Bush’s nomination of Georgia state Sen. Paul Coverdell to head the Peace Corps. Coverdell, 50, is a former chairman of the Georgia Republican Party. He succeeds Loret Miller Ruppe.
