A clergyman involved in a reshaping of Lutheranism, the Rev. John H. Tietjen, has been named pastor of the 750-member Trinity Lutheran Church in Ft. Worth, Tex.

Tietjen, who serving briefly as Lutheran bishop in Chicago, was a key figure among moderates who in the 1970s broke away from the conservative Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.
