Women can play too, Players club members decided in time for their centennial anniversary. Helen Hayes, Mary Tyler Moore and Lauren Bacall were among the first women inducted in the Players, a New York club for performers and writers, at a 100th anniversary celebration Sunday. Mark Twain was a charter member of the 1,000-member club, whose rolls have included Laurence Olivier, Gregory Peck, Frank Sinatra, Jack Lemmon and Jose Ferrer, the current president.
