A King’s castle is up for sale. One of Elvis Presley’s pre-Graceland homes in Memphis, Tenn. is on the market. The modest house where Presley lived from mid-1955 to May, 1956--the period when RCA bought his contract from Sun Records and his career took off--is owned by David Isom, who bought it in 1985 for $45,000. Isom’s ad for the house doesn’t mention his asking price, but he says the new buyer will have to move it elsewhere because the property will be used to house an auto parts store. Isom has placed a sign in the front yard that says “Elvis Presley Lived Here--1955-56--Move With Love & Care.”
