Firm to Leave Santa Monica: The corporate headquarters of Host International, an airport food service company owned by Marriott Corp., will be moved from Santa Monica to Maryland by the end of the summer. A Marriott Corp. spokesman said the company was not sure if the move would result in any layoffs among Host’s 250 corporate staffers. The move is aimed at increasing efficiency by locating Host executives near Marriott headquarters in Bethesda, Md., the spokesman said.
