The Rev. Jesse Jackson said he has no plans to run for mayor of Washington. “I have no such plans. I have made no such commitment,” Jackson told reporters during a rally in Chicago at his Operation PUSH headquarters. He said reports published to the contrary Saturday by the New York Times and the Washington Post were apparently due to a misunderstanding of a “no comment” he gave to a reporter when asked about his plans earlier.
