From Times wire services

A suspected Palestinian collaborator was fatally stabbed today in the latest of such killings that Israeli officials say are intended to undermine a proposal for elections in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Ahed Zeedan, 30, was attacked by masked men in his photography studio near the military government building in the West Bank city of Tulkarm, Palestinian sources said. Zeedan was stabbed several times and died on the way to the hospital.

At least 12 suspected Palestinian collaborators have been killed in the last month. In a leaflet, the underground uprising leadership urged Palestinians to settle scores with collaborators and “persons deviating from the national line.”
