El Dorado County Supervisor Michael Visman, whose federal court trial on marijuana charges is scheduled for next month, resigned a day before recall petitions were to be filed. Douglas Leisz, the leader of the recall move, said about 3,700 signatures had been collected. Visman, 41, has pleaded not guilty to growing marijuana in a blackberry thicket on his property in Camino. Visman is to go to trial June 26 in U.S. District Court in Sacramento.
