Malibu : Development Approved
The Los Angeles County Regional Planning Commission has voted to allow development of 25 single-family homes on a 45-acre parcel at Seastar and Morning View drives.
The project must also be reviewed by the State Coastal Commission.
Local homeowners are considering an appeal of the decision to the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, on grounds that insufficient testing has been done to determine the land’s stability and that emergency access in the area would be inadequate.
The parcel is the last undeveloped piece of land between National Park Service property in the Trancas Canyon area and Pacific Coast Highway.
