Description: In addition to picnic grounds and recreational facilities, this urban park features a cactus garden, a pond and stream, and an outdoor amphitheater.

Facilities: A lighted softball field with bleachers, children’s play areas, barbecue and picnic facilities, a public swimming pool, an activities building, an exercise trail, restrooms and facilities for volleyball, football, soccer, horseshoes and tennis.

Amphitheater: 2,200-seat Pearson Park Theater is the site of summer plays and concerts. Beginning June 9, community bands perform on Fridays, with stage musicals on Saturday. Just For Kids, a children’s program, begins June 22 and will be offered each Thursday evening. No reserved seats; tickets are $1-$4 and are available 1 hour before show time at the box office, or in advance through the Parks, Recreation and Community Services office.

Pool: Classes offered in summer, with scheduled times for public swims. Pool opens in June.
