2 California Mayors Begin Tour of Japan
The mayors of San Francisco and San Jose arrived Tuesday for a four-day tour of Japan on the last leg of their 12-day trade promotion tour of Asia.
San Francisco Mayor Art Agnos and San Jose Mayor Tom McEnery have visited Taiwan, Hong Kong and China since April 29 to promote business opportunities in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In Tokyo, Agnos will visit the Tsukiji fish market, one of the largest in the world, and meet with tour operators and Bay Area expatriates who now live in Japan.
The group also will travel to Osaka, a sister city of San Francisco.
