Phil Anderson of Australia won the Tour de Romandie road cycling race, defending a lead of more than one minute in the 118-mile final leg of the six-day event through western Switzerland to Geneva.
Anderson led from the opening road stage of the 539-mile tour, which he won for the first time with a total time of 21 hours 37 minutes 6 seconds.
Gilles Delion of France, trailing Anderson’s aggregate by 1:04, edged Britain’s Robert Millar for second place.
