Santa Ana Man Dies in Moped Accident
A 48-year-old Santa Ana moped driver died of injuries he suffered when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a pole on Euclid Street in Garden Grove, police said.
Hung Nguyen died at UCI Medical Center in Orange after sustaining major head injuries in the accident at 7:52 p.m. Friday, Garden Grove Police Sgt. Mark Byrne said.
Nguyen had been driving south on Euclid south of Katella Avenue, Byrne said. Nguyen was not wearing a helmet when the accident occurred, he said.
