Orange : Award to Commemorate Public Works Role
The city will receive an award today commemorating 17 years of membership in the American Public Works Assn.
Carl Nelson, former public works director for Orange County, will present the award on behalf of the association at 3:30 p.m. in City Council chambers.
The City Council will then proclaim this week as National Public Works Week to call attention to city services such as the water and sewer systems, trash pickups and street maintenance.
